Review on πŸ”Š 80W2 Bluetooth 4.2 HiFi USB DSP Digital Decoding Power Amplifier - SMSL AD18 by Debbie Rossi

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Sometimes "HORRIBLE LOUD STATIC " and moderate continuous line noise

I read several reviews before buying and others after. Maybe I have a bad block. I wrote it off as a loss. If you receive one that doesn't work well, return it immediately. I tried fiddling with mine for months but finally gave up. I have also used 1x SMSL SA50 and 3x SMSL SA98E amplifiers throughout the house and they have worked great. But I play and play with headphones so I wanted to replace my SA50. Have been buying everything from Gemini Doctor for several years and have had good dealings with the seller. The Bad: TERRIBLE LOUD STATIC I took this from another review. So true. Between watching the video, loading into the game, and many other times, something goes wrong and you think you have a permanent hearing loss before you can remove your headphones or speakers. - Moderate continuous interference/noise in headphones. Too many to use. Tried BT, AUX, USB inputs. They were really important, but they all sucked. The good ones: + The concept does exactly what I wanted, gives outputs to my speakers and headphones from my PC + The interface works fine for a single dial setup (I would have liked a dedicated volume and sub/s for I /O preferred ) Output: SMSL The AD18 I received is electronic garbage with terrible piercing loud static bursts and moderate sustained noise.

Pros
  • This stereo audio amplifier supports coaxial USB analog Bluetooth and two optical inputs
Cons
  • Long delivery time
