I bought this basket because it is a larger basket that fits the hole in my hallway console table and it has worked great. I've just read some reviews and see people berating it for looking cheap. It is not. It's very similar to the shopping cart you can buy at Target, HomeGoods, or similar stores. In fact, I have it next to a wicker basket from one of those stores and it looks great next to it. I didn't even know it was plastic until reading some reviews and looking very carefully. I just noticed that the description says the item is made of metal, but I'm actually not sure what that is. I have a feeling the description is a bit different than when I bought it, but who knows. All I know is that this is a good basket, easy to clean and doesn't look cheap or ugly.
