Skin reaction in two people - rash and hives

I have over 30 tattoos, my husband has over 10; we both tried. I'm an esthetician and at first glance the ingredients seem clear but I don't know if it's a combination or something else not listed that has given us both a problem. I have sensitive skin but my husband has skin that is not bothered by anything. When my husband first used it, he didn't react immediately, but the next morning his skin was very irritated. He reapplied it thinking maybe he just wasn't sleeping well or something and it resulted in breakouts and rashes. I ordered this right after his tattoo and right before mine. Tried it the same morning he applied it to his fresh tattoo, just a few spots on my bare skin, also did an allergy test - immediate skin irritation so wiped it off but the next morning I'm stained woke up / hives on my throat. I'm so glad I tried this before getting a tattoo a few days later, I just wish I could say the same of my husband. A rash and irritation over a fresh large chest tattoo is far from an ideal situation. So I spent $20 on what neither of us could use and went back to the tried and tested Aquaphor. It says it can be returned but for a fee (I haven't seen anything about the guarantee) so keep that in mind if you don't want to play for $20. I made the mistake of just ordering it just looking at the ingredients and the rating, I hope others read and heed the words of caution in reviews and others.
