reading seems accurate but it falls far short of the instant read status claimed in the product description. There is also no automatic on/off function. There is a small button that the sensor presses when closing. But it's useless. Switch on and off with the button below the display. It would be nice to increase the number, but that's fine. Nothing special here. Average specs and performance at a slightly higher price.
