I hated the track curtains above the bunk in my RV. I didn’t want to create a lot of holes in the camper walls for the hardware required for most rods, but the length across was greater than the average shower curtain tension rod. I found this extra long tension rod and it works beautifully, even w the bump and grind of traveling on the road in an RV. I did not need to use the extension piece but did put it all together initially w no problem.and I am a very unhandy female. It seems very sturdy and the buttons/springs to adjust the tension work well. I used 2 full length drapes which slide easily on the rod. I recommend.
