From my experience, I rate the Sony 1000xm4, the BO P9 3rd, and the Apple Air Max highly. On January 21st, I give myself the best New Year's present ever—a Sony 1000xm4 since it is the perfect blend of affordability, performance, and style. The operators have only average experience. The headphones I ordered from Apple in February arrived after three weeks of waiting. While wearing them from 8 a.m. to 19 p.m. (wow, Karl!) I was able to concentrate on my listening and gain an appreciation for how effective noise cancellation can be when coupled with a quality sound and a snug but not overheated fit for the ears. I was able to converse with coworkers in the penetrating mode without experiencing any fatigue, which was especially helpful because I couldn't afford to waste time with the sleepyheads, who began exerting weight on my head after only 30 minutes.
