Review on πŸ–₯️ Elevate Your Monitor: Ergotron Monitor Handle Kit - Enhanced Mounting Component by Kim Sanchez

A normal solution, better than at least grabbing the screen

My monitor is connected to an Ergotron HX installed on a table. When playing racing games, I pull the monitor up to the front edge of the table and move the handlebar rest towards the table. This works great for my situation. But I didn't like grabbing a frame on the monitor every time I wanted to move back and forth. This turned out to be a good solution as torque is applied to the monitor at its VESA mount and not from the edges of the display like you are grabbing the edges of the display and pulling or pushing. A big problem is that the mounting plate is very wide. So if your connections are close to your monitor's VESA mount, those connections may get blocked, as it was in my case. I was able to get it working with just two of the four mounting holes. I'm sure this will probably work better on a smaller, lighter monitor than my 34-inch ultra-wide monitor. If you can get all four screws in, I don't see why it shouldn't be very strong. The handle bends. a tiny amount with only two screws. Not perfect, but better than nothing. I don't know why either, but I assumed it was aluminum. It's plastic. Maybe because of the price I thought it was metal. But after you think about it, having a non-metallic handle for electrical devices is probably better. It would be nice if they developed a handle for large monitors, or at least a way to bypass connection blocking. Table: UpLift 80 x 30 inches, 1.75 inches thick. Walnut top. Monitor mount: Ergotron HX polished aluminum. Monitor: LG UltraGear 34" Ultra Wide 34GN850.
