Poor design and incorrect advertising/product description.
The item is defective. Took it out of the box and found both temperature controls mismatched in the off position. It makes a click when you turn the controller on, but then you have no idea how to set the temperature. Also, smoke was coming from the underside of another burner. The plate did heat up properly, but definitely not to 5-700 degrees.
