I bought these to use with the bamboo cutting board on my granite countertop. I needed something to keep the cutting board in place during use and it works really well. I love how they look and feel, I use them on my glass cooktop and also to hold hot pans and baking pans when I take them out of the oven. I haven't tried using them for baking, but I'm not really a baker so I probably won't use them that way. However, they are versatile for surface protection and easy to clean, as well as being very affordable.
