We have a Maine Coon and she is only 1 year old and weighs 16lbs and she seems to carry this carrier with no problem! In step 2 I had to stretch and strain a bit to turn around and hear the click. Step 3 was also a bit tricky but I managed it and assembled everything in just a few minutes. This extra large 24 x 16 x 16 padded pet bag has enough space for our cat to lie down or stand up and still be comfortable. There are many lattice windows so he can see us and get some fresh air. Love the side pockets and zippered pockets for storing treats, meds, and documents. The price is fair and on par with similar brands. The quality is excellent quality.
