I've had my eye on the Olympus 45mm f/1.8 for a long time, ever since I bought my first micro 4/3 unit. But, what stopped me from buying was that this glass, although it is considered one of the budget ones, is still far from cheap. Secondly, there were a sufficient number of not entirely flattering reviews on the network, they say there are quite a lot of marriage, and this is soapiness and overshooting autofocus. and in general, that the Sigma 30mm f/2.8 Art at half the cost produces the same picture. Although the focal length is different, but the price is everything, in short, I took the sigma . The lens is beyond praise, but in some places there was not enough aperture, and I wanted a good portrait lens in the clip. I looked at the 60mm sigma . But after considering all the pros and cons, I took this olika. What can be said without a dry report on technical characteristics? . Sharp, starting from an open aperture, contrasting pattern, paired with the Olympus OM-D E-M10, this frivolous-looking kid produces a clear image and gorgeous colors in the pictures , this is exactly the case when the resulting jpeg is quite enough. And to process raw, only to spoil. Autofocus in forty-five is slightly better than in sigma, that is, fast and accurate, the percentage of marriage is very, very small. But absolutely everything does not go smoothly, let's add a drop of tar . This oil does not hold the backlight very well, without a hood, in the bright sun "in the eyes", sometimes uninvited guests, lights appear, although in my opinion this is a natural reaction of optics. With a hood (dear dear, I had to order from the Chinese brothers), everything is much more pleasant. With the right position in the sun, everything is expected to be fine even without a hood. But with a lack of light, the subject is revealed in all its glory, what was previously not sharp and noisy, now it's nice to watch. In general, a very pleasant glass, and as a portrait lens (especially gorgeous), and as a staff member, it will not get lost either. And you definitely cannot remain indifferent from the result obtained .
