Smell was pleasant at first. It's been about a month and I can still smell it, but only if I put my nose straight into it. So a lifespan of one month is probably pretty accurate. If I had a tray in a smaller room it could be stronger or last longer, but I have a tray in the break room and it's a pretty open space. It's good that the cat is still using the tray. Which was one of my concerns. that it will somehow discourage him from using it because of the smell. It's not like that at all.
