I have a 2508 Dodge Ram 2500. That's a huge gap in my opinion. Totally absent while driving. This item fits like an OEM. As it should be. It doesn't fit perfectly out of the box. If you're a little accommodating, you can set it up for success! The extra effort is definitely worth it. After installation, I used 1/2" self-tapping screws. You then need to spread the latch handle so it hangs lower to compensate for the extra material that is now between the cover and the actual console. I removed the latch and added 2-1/2" hex nuts. Fit like a charm and worked like nothing had been changed. I am very happy with this product. Like I said. If you set it up right, it will be one great addition to your center console. PS I didn't want to pay $500-$1250 for a business console. Better pay $25, install it and continue shipping. If you're thinking about it, don't do it! Just get it already!
