Bought two of these to cover both sides of my bed. I was sooooo happy with the bumper and had high hopes. They're bloody hard to install even if it's not a drill simply because you can't get a full size socket for them, you need a snub-nosed one. They also came from two different suppliers. The same product code on the packaging. Inside they were different. One came with 2 1/4" spacer plates. The other had the same, plus an extra 1/2" plate. The screw heads were different sizes in one set. What? should go from the main block to the block clamping the bed weld. Wrong corners. I installed without it, but it really needs that support. '06 must be something special compared to other years? After all, it doesn't give you that much lift. When extended, the step is lower than the (factory) footrests on the driver's cab. Well, better than nothing, but it still needs some work and it won't be as effective as if I just bought some kind of footpeg extender. By the way, the rear bumper stand is a SIX STAR and I recommend it to everyone!
