The part is great, removing the old hose is a problem

As others have said, the replacement hose is great. However, the problem lies in the "quick release" collet. I also watched the video on Kohler's site and read the comments - but the breakup didn't fly. WD-40 finally nailed it (other reviews I found also mentioned Liquid Wrench). After spraying directly in and around the disconnect area, the hose immediately detached. After that, sailing went smoothly.
