Review on Silicon Power 2TB Rugged Armor A65 IP67 Shockproof/Waterproof USB 3 by Jasneet Jazzy

I am extremely disappointed in this product. After the initial purchase in 2015, I had no problems with the drive until recently. About a month ago I tried to recover some old data from this drive; Minutes after connecting the drive I was informed that all my data on the drive was corrupt - over 300GB of very important historical data. I was able to purchase recovery software which thankfully recovered >90% of all my lost data, but my external hard drive has since become unusable and essentially unable to transfer information after reformatting and attempting to erase everything and everything. I have contacted Silicon Power to go through the warranty process - I will update this review based on the outcome of the customer service provided. DO NOT EXPECT THIS DISK TO STORE YOUR DATA. TO UPDATE. It has been a month since I completed the initial warranty process and shipped my drive to their California location. They have stated on their website that they have not received the hard drive, although given the time that has passed since the unit was shipped I find that unlikely. I also called their support team, as a result no one answered the call. Don't buy from these guys. Period.
