The device counts time, displays about 0.3V higher than the actual voltage measured by a meter placed in the same place how this device is connected (e.g. battery). The blue backlight is insanely bright. I switched it to red, it doesn't look that pretty but it was blindingly blue. I live further away where there are no street lights so it's more noticeable. The inside/outside temperature seems to be displayed correctly. If the car has been left in the garage all night, the entry/exit will be the same and both will match the temperature reading in the garage. The external sensor cable is not long enough to place the sensor where I want it. So when the car isn't moving the temperature will rise because it's pulling heat from the radiator, but for my purposes it's long enough to know if it's cold outside when driving. If you know what you are getting yourself into, this is a 5 star product. If you're expecting it to look like it's factory installed and of great quality, you'll be disappointed. If this one dies, I'll most likely take another one. It seems to be the best I can find on Amazon.
