Review on 🔦 Dorman 601-061 HID Lighting Ballast for Ford & Lincoln Models by Todd Look

Bought two of these to install in my 2015 Mustang and put them on supplied a local reliable shop to install them (recent Mustangs require a ridiculous amount of disassembly to do ballast/headlight work). Admittedly, both were bought from Revain Warehouse Deals, which scared me a bit (especially at 75% off!), but they looked fine on arrival. Here are my findings so far: - One ballast came out of the box with a deformed plug which my mechanic noticed when trying to install it. This made it unusable and I had to send it back. The second Dorman ballast was fitted with a brand new OSRAM lamp (same model as factory). This combination lights up correctly about 50% of the time. Otherwise it flickers and then turns off. I have to keep turning the lights on and just crossing my fingers until it either works or I give up. Worst of all, Dorman is the only ballast brand I can easily find. Even mainstream stores like AutoZone only sell this.
