My 27 month old granddaughter is not using it as intended. And maybe that's okay. She uses the bag for other things. She uses food along with other play food to prepare 'snacks' and 'meals'. At first we played with it as a "camping set" but very soon it was abandoned. Should the lantern be on? It's been a while (Christmas) since we gifted it. I can't remember if it was supposed to light up but didn't, or if I was disappointed that it wasn't designed that way. The toy would be much better if it was designed to be used with batteries. How great would that be!
