They're solid and we engineer them. If you're buying these for a 50+ gallon aquarium I recommend either adding extensions to the branches or buying 2 sets instead of one. In a large aquarium they appear rather small. Luckily they have hooks at the top that allow for extension, so the height problem is easily solved. At the same time, they are very durable. It takes a little effort to add hook fasteners, but that's good because it doesn't make them come loose. They swing nicely in the path of the water drain and look realistic from a distance. So overall it's worth the price depending on where you look. I probably would have paid 10 for it instead of 13, but I really needed it.
