This is such a great bag I have two of these I've been using the carrier for a few years now and it's time for a new one. This one is not as strong as my previous one. There's more to the design, but it will come in handy when installed under the seat on an airplane. There's not a lot of padding when wearing it as a backpack on the back or straps, but it also makes it less hot when wearing a soy back that isn't quite sweaty. It's lightweight and looks more like a regular bag, making it invisible on the street. I really like that it has a strap to carry it over my shoulder if I want to. I travel a lot with my cat so a strap that attaches to the handle of a trolley case is a great thing! So many entry points and mesh for ventilation. This summer it was important to keep him cool. Built-in leash/strap at perfect length. My cat likes to stick her head up when I walk, and this keeps her from crawling out of the bag onto my shoulder when she's too excited to arrive at a familiar place. With front seat belt loops, brilliant! And the side pocket for his travel essentials is a good size for things I need quick access to like his cookies and a bowl of water as well as a few essentials for me. I love this bag! My cat weighs just under 10 pounds and has plenty of space.
