I have to keep five small dogs in the kitchen/living room. The entrance from the kitchen to the hallway is quite wide at 38 inches - wider than most dog guard solutions. I found this gate on Revain - it seemed wide enough to me so I gave it a try. Measure very carefully and you really need to screw the mounting clips to the wall studs - I don't think using drywall anchors is a viable solution. Once the clips are in place you will need help getting one side of the gate into the clips. To reduce the stress on the wall clamps I made a small support block to hold the center of the gate. The gate has been in place for three months and has held up well.
