Review on πŸŒ€ DEWALT DWE6401DS 5 Inch Sander Shroud: Enhanced Dust Collection & Improved Efficiency by Warren Hess

game changer! best grinder

I wish I had made this purchase a few years ago. I finally had enough of belt sanders. I'm tired of checking to see if the strap is slipping. I'm tired of substituting perfectly good straps other than tape/tape. Generally tired because the belt sander tires. I knew I would be photographing a lot of surface wood and tried to think outside the box (sanders/mods, polishers, multitools.). After looking at the options, I just couldn't get past this universal and inexpensive tool from a reliable manufacturer. The wireless version was out of stock when I bought it, which is good. Something like that when sanding with coarse grit requires some energy. With 40 grit it is much handier than a belt sander. I haven't used fine grit yet, but with variable speed (in case you're wondering, the speed dial is round and built into the trigger - very handy) the speed can be a lot lower and a lot faster than I've ever been. to need. If you need to move more slowly, you can also use a hand pad. If you need to work faster, you can use a grinder. This tool hit the sweet spot between price and functionality. Looking back I am 20-20 very happy with this purchase. Plus, it looks like they could easily be upgraded to 7-inch rims if needed. 5 inch rims are about $1 each which is way cheaper than crappy belts. The range of possibilities seems to be huge with this $80 tool. I no longer have to sand with a belt and can do a lot of fine work with it. Before this purchase I was afraid of grinding. I'm almost looking forward to it now. Also, I don't avoid loops. If you read this review - buy it - you will like it. I am not affiliated with Dewalt. I've been so impressed with the time-saving ergonomics of some Dewalt tools that I use Dewalt as a standard. For WiFi I only use Dewalt (so I don't have to buy more batteries). My first Dewalt tool a few years ago was an inexpensive portable table saw; by far the best buying tool. This Dewalt grinder might be my second favorite tool purchase for a lot less money.
