While not the miracle product that Brett Favre assures us, this is the most effective back brace available. I am 67 years old with arthritis in my lower back and occasional back spasms. This back brace is much more effective than some of the thicker orthopedic braces I've tried. It can be worn as tight as desired. As a rule, it is not visible under most clothes, although I have pants that are too tight for him. It supported my back on several trips that used to cause cramps. It also assists in lifting weights. I used to wear it before bed because I used to wake up with a stiff back and now I don't. Before 70 pounds it would have been uncomfortable to wear, but at 185 pounds I feel good noticing it but basically forget I'm wearing it. If you want support but don't expect miracles, this support is for you. I would say it is effective for mild to moderate back pain.
