I had the opportunity to see other smart scales from another generic brand from China. It didn't work so I ordered it - and it turns out they are actually identical in every way. - The default is kilograms. To convert to pounds there is a tiny hidden button on the back of the scale. This is suitable for basic weight, progress tracking and app linking. Flat, precise, light. Must be on a hard surface. But all other alleged features of the app are questionable (fat percentage, muscle mass, etc., etc.). These are estimates based on an algorithm, there are NO additional sensors that you measure. The algorithms appear to be designed for smaller people with a smaller physique - they do NOT know what to do with a 6ft tall person. I don't attach much importance to these additional features. I see similar scales between $25 and $30 as they all seem to be basically the same. I would choose the cheapest. However, understand that you are receiving a generic brand from China, the quality and shelf life are unknown, it may only last 6 months. If you want a truly smart scale, look to specialty stores and well-known brands for the best options.
