Review on Thetford 42049 Water Valve Style by Dennis Reed

I think my Thetford Style II toilet may be faulty as I have had to replace this valve 3 times in 4 years. But the replacement process only takes 5 minutes because I have a work station without dismantling the toilet myself. After replacing the valve assembly the toilet will work great for the next 10-11 months. Maybe one day I'll replace the toilet, but this is an inexpensive and easy fix. In May 2016 I finally replaced the Thetford Style II toilet. And my suspicion was correct, it must have had a small defect in the valve body. The replaced toilet worked great until April 2019. Then the same problem, the flush valve is stuck and water is dripping out of the toilet. I still had the kit I bought three years ago, installed it and no more problems. I think the spring and little rubber seal just wear out after a while. I will be ordering another set to have on hand.
