I ordered two of these. One fell on a corner (not the sender's fault) and immediately stopped working. That's when I discovered that the block was sealed. I couldn't open it to see if I could put the circuit board back in or check if something had come loose. Two weeks later, the second stopped working. This time the inner casing of the battery must have come loose or the solder joint must have broken. In any case, the batteries now slide an inch into the remote and can't touch the plus and minus poles at the same time, rendering the remote unusable. To the best of our knowledge, this remote control has not been dropped or otherwise damaged.
