Great kit, includes everything you need to get started: mini pump, standard 3.5ft airline, bubbler and check valve . Very easy to set up. A clear directions. I have an aquarium decoration that uses a bubbler. I had to get a pump for that. I wanted to use a decoration for a little bling in my small 5 gallon upright Glofish tank, and in particular a bubbler to ensure healthy ventilation. This pump comes with air stone and check valve. I added the check valve as instructed (easy peasy). I'm not currently using the stone, but I'm glad it was included. The pump is pretty quiet. It has 4 little rubber feet to keep it from bouncing around and making extra noise. My tank is in the common room, so I can't really hear it. The bedroom can be different. However, it is more of a bubbler noise than an engine noise. I've only been using it for a few days. So far, so good. If I experience anything else I will come back to update.
