The Perfect Evolution of Paracord 750

I ordered 100ft strands of Multicam and Desert Camo, both 1/4 inch. It's legal! The rope is slightly stiffer than paracord 750 and significantly stiffer than standard paracord 550, making it very easy to wrap in 50 foot spools. It's not so stiff that it becomes difficult to tie knots as long as it feels absolutely perfect. It has the same type of outer weave as standard paracord, so there's plenty of friction to keep knots stable. Cutting and melting the ends of this rope is exactly the same as working with standard paracord. The ends don't fly into 2-inch flakes when cut and quickly turn into smooth pieces when placed in a small flame. For comparison, I bought a 6mm "service rope" from a climbing rope company. This material was more expensive per foot than this Paramax line, but other than that it's complete rubbish. The 6mm rope was too stiff for anything but horse bridles and so slick that it failed to stabilize knots. When cutting, the ends fly apart several inches, and that makes melting the ends a real chore. Since I don't go camping with an electric hot knife, it's very inconvenient. What a joke that 6mm material. Back to that Paramax rope! I will use this rope for heavy lashing, bear sack hanging, heavy backline, the list goes on and on. Color wise, the Multicam is a medium shade of olive grey, with a good mix of other colors and patterns. This is real camouflage for anything in wooded or bushy terrain. The desert camouflage is perfect for drier areas and looks quite nice. Since I only use reflective guy lines, I probably won't buy this Paramax line in one of the bright colors. But it's nice that so many colors are offered. This is my new go-to for anything the 550 or 750 can't handle. Would give more than 5 stars if I could.
