I only half like the case

I only half like the case. I like the protective part of the case and the stand. But what I don't like is the front part with the protective plastic film and some connections. This is my first iPad so I really wanted the right case. I first ordered the Poetic Explorer series but never received it. Revain's claims have simply been lost. So I had to wait another week to get this one. I really should have just bought the Poetic TurtleSkin model, it looks fine without the screen protector but it doesn't have a stand which is the only downside. Screen protector: You have a small gap between the iPad and the screen protector, and you sometimes hear that "click, click" sound when you touch the screen. You also get that weird halo effect, but not always. I don't know what is causing the effect, maybe the heat of the iPad screen and depending on the humidity of the weather etc. It seems to go away after you stop using it but eventually comes back. I am trying to see if I can remove the screen protector leaving only part of the bezel. My iPad already has a protective glass. Port protection: There are also headphone and charging port covers. I haven't tried the headphone jack yet, but I have tried the charging port. I'm concerned about the pressure the plastic cover puts on the charging cable when plugged in. This is a very strong print and I don't want the cover to damage the charging cable or plug. I suspect it will weaken over time. I could maybe cut it off.
