I needed a toaster and just didn't want to spend a lot so I went with this one. Spring. it really is toast bread. That's the best I can say. Up until the last two weeks it seemed to roast quite well. Now it's started to toast unevenly - one side of the bread is toasted and the other side is burned. The size of the slots isn't fit for anything larger than a square Wunderbrot. If you eat rectangular bread, you need to cut off the side. The bagels barely fit in. You have to slide it in. Eventually, the thing gets insanely hot. So if your kids use it. Maybe just don't let kids use it. Choose a different toaster. I'd rather spend the extra money on something better.
