While I'm not sure I like Loupedeck+, I definitely wouldn't want to edit large amounts of photos without it now that I have experience have use it. (I refrained from buying the previous version.) I recently had to do a basic Lightroom setup on nearly 2,000 photos from multiple jobs to test for online galleries for clients to order. I'm sure Loupedeck+ saved me many hours of work compared to the tedious process of carefully moving sliders in LR. Yes, it's quite expensive, but if you work a lot in LR and can pump the cost, then go for it. A few comments on usage: 1) I found the exposure slider to be much quicker and easier to access than the mouse, and this is my most used setting. 2) I didn't realize it until I realized that the large dial can be used to adjust the angle. I often shoot in situations where I'm quickly switching between horizontal and vertical and don't always get a very flat image, but the dial makes correction easier. However, I would like the software to allow fine tuning of the change step for this and other watch faces. 3) The D1 wheel is very handy for fine-tuning the composition of the shot, and that's another thing I didn't know about before. .4) The Undo & Redo buttons also proved to be a lot more useful than I expected. 5) After a few weeks of use I use about half of the knobs and buttons very regularly and the rest rarely or not at all, so far away. 6) The physical setup I use on my workstation is to place the Loupedeck+ closest to me and place the regular keyboard behind it and the mouse to its right. I've found that I still need to use a keyboard and mouse for some things. Areas for improvement: 1) One of the sticky rubber feet on the bottom keeps coming off 2) Ability to change the adjustment step as previously mentioned 3) The software seems to have a bug when used with the LR Classic CC. In crop mode and when you move the image with the mouse relative to the crop (instead of the arrow keys), LR sometimes starts to quickly add crop rectangle steps to the gradient. 4) I wish Loupedeck+ could be supported at a higher angle because some keyboards allow you to put a piece of tape on Loupedeck+ with a custom function. on him. 6) Enlarge the swatches under the eight knurled wheels to make them easier to see, especially in the low light that many of us use when editing. 7) I would like a softer/lighter pressure on the knob Conclusion: For me, the Loupedeck+ is worth its money and I look forward to continuous improvements in hardware and software.
