Review on ๐Ÿ‘Ÿ Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 34 Men's Running Shoe by Jason Yancy

Runners beware - 7 mile failure!

Most positive reviews don't mention the actual running. So if you are looking for comfortable and affordable hiking shoes, ignore my review. If you RUN, read on. I trained and ran 5 half marathons in the Nike Air Pegasus. I have a low arch and a neutral gait. For some reason (can't remember why) I successfully switched to the Nike Air Vomero for race #6. As the Vomeros started to break down in preparation for Race #7 I decided to go back to my trusty old Nike Pegasus and bought the 34 version. They fit great as always. I went outside to run 9 miles and at mile 4 my right knee started hurting. I had to stop at mile 5 and rub both my knees. My knees hurt every time I went down the stairs. By mile 6 I had throbbing pain in my knees and calves. At the seventh mile I stopped again. and at 7.5 miles I decided to walk 1/2 mile home. It was 5 hours ago. The muscles from my lower back to my legs are sore now. I should probably take an ice bath. Three weeks ago I ran 6 miles painlessly on my defective Vomero 10. All I could tell was that the pillow was worn out. Last week I ran an amazing 8 miles in my ($200) Nike Flyknit Vapormax. I'm sending the Pegasus back and looking for Vomeros that don't double what I just spent on the Pegasus 34. I need a solid training shoe and will be racing in the Vapormax. If you are a serious runner and can afford the $150-$200 Flyknit Vapormax, go for it!
