I have purchased five double port boxes that are rated Category 6. They are all plastic but strong, I used a 110 punch and it worked fine. The first of the five had a broken connection on one of the signal lines between the RJ45 and the punch unit, which turned out to be a tiny break in the copper trace on its internal circuit board. A short jump over the breaking point put everything back in order. I also noticed where the stamping blocks are soldered to the board, half the pads, 4 out of 8 per block were never soldered! I opened the other four boxes and found another unsoldered contact pads in one. Also, many of the solder pads were only partially filled with solder. Partially filled pods work well and can last a very long time, but this indicates poor quality control. After fixing the problems, the boxes work fine. I particularly like the double adhesive pad that comes with every box. Unsoldered pads will almost certainly cause future failures, so consider purchasing another product.
