I have had various types of stands including stands for cellphones and stands for other purposes and this is the first time I have bought this stand specifically for my 12 inch iPad Pro . First impressions are that the stand is lightweight and the hinge is rigid, meaning the hinge can be adjusted in any position and stays strong. The only problem I have is that I usually carry my iPad in a Logitech case and I can't put the iPad in the case and put it on the stand. It does not fit or hold the iPad inside due to the weight of the case. All in all, the stand does what it's supposed to hold the tablet in place, but if you want your tablet to be on the stand along with a case, this won't work for you. Build quality and simplicity are a plus. If you are looking for a minimalist stand then this is for you.
