I have length shoulder length thick hair and need 2 packs to cover my whole head. It is easy to use and you need a plastic tray and a hair dye brush, gloves are included with the hair dye. Love it, I used it 10 years ago and recently bought it again and fell in love all over again. It's gentle on my hair leaving it soft, I usually use permanent boxes and was looking for something less damaging. I will redeem I bought the blue-black, I have a lot of gold tones of course, and the blue-black covers all the gold and keeps it from fading. Blue-black is just a very black dye, not quite blue.
