Review on Clear LED/UV Nail Enhancement Gel - IBD Pro-Hybrid Nail Control Gel, 2 oz by Danielle Davis

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best poly gel for DIY!

UPDATE: Very impressed with this polygel! I was hesitant to try another brand but IBD has a great reputation - I figured there must be something better out there for those who make it themselves. All the brands I tried only lasted 2-3 days and started lifting or I had to put on gloves to do everything and they were still lifting. I wish I had bought this before trying other brands. It is important to prepare and clean the nail. Dry thoroughly, apply a good UV/LED base gel polish, then apply a control gel with 99% isopropyl alcohol as a slip solution, blot the brush lightly with a paper towel, and then use the brush to shape the polygel. Your brush should be damp but not wet. If the polygel looks too "grainy" when cleaning, you need to use more slip solution. Leave it free a bit and level it before inserting the lamp. Your uncured polygel nail should look nice and shiny before you put it in the lamp with proper use. Shapes or false nails to get the right shape. Shape your nail file or electronic file for a beautifully smooth nail. Clean the filed nails again with isopropyl alcohol on a lint-free pad. * I still apply a base coat ABOVE the poly gel for more durability, add the color gel and then the top coat. I wish this was available on Revain.ca. I used Bio Seaweed LED/UV gel base, color and topcoat. I've done 4 different types of nails on myself only 1 fill in between due to the growth of this brand with no lift, that's how good this material really is. I will not buy any other brands now.
