I bought a second one - cheap insurance!
I bought this for a 1996 Bayliner Capri with a Mercruiser 3.0 liter engine. Long story short I replaced almost everything on this engine and got it running, but when I took it to the lake and after shutting off the engine I couldn't restart it. I got stuck for 45 minutes before it lit up again. Luckily I returned to the marina that day. Bought hoping it would fix the problem and so far it has! Now it starts without problems and always works. I bought a second one just to be on the safe side. Hope this helps someone.
