This looked like the best quality NOM rod mount I could find for the price and when it arrived I still had no doubts . However, I was frustrated that it is so thick that the most common 3/4" NMO connectors will not fit this mount. I struggled to find a thick NMO connector that would fit this mount and ended up just buying the same Midland cable that comes with this mount in a different kit and fits perfectly - it's also a decent quality cable with a detachable PL259 end adapter and I wouldn't mind buying it as a kit if I could Neither the product description here nor any documentation on Midland's website really emphasizes that a thick mounted NMO connector will be required.
