Always wanted one but never had a large enough job where it was needed. That was until I bought a house for my mom who needed basic electrical work. I had to replace all the outlets and switches throughout the house. At first I had trouble stripping 12 and 14 gauge wire. It didn't work at all so I was willing to turn it down and return it as I had read the same thing from other people before buying it. I started making some adjustments and suddenly everything worked like clockwork. My advice is don't give up and keep tweaking until it works the way you expect it to. No adjustments have been needed since then and I've been using it extensively for several days. The only warning I'll share is: be careful where you put your hands or tools when you're about to strip the wire. I held the wire with one hand and when I stripped the wire my hand was close to the middle (where the handles meet) and cut me badly. Another time I put the tool next to my edge and did the same. I lost some belly fat. Of course, these are all user errors, but safety instructions nonetheless.
