Good quality cards, very useful for short-term tasks like prototyping or flashcards, but not for long-term use. The matte finish seems to be suitable for any type of marker or pen, but apart from a few cheap ballpoint pens, I've yet to find anything that doesn't smudge on the first touch, even after spending an hour with it. dry. Sharpie markers are only slightly smudged and fuzzy around the edges, while Micron pens rub clean. Everything else (art markers, ink pens, the best Papermate pens, etc.) seems to fall somewhere in between. Given other reviews, I'd like to think I have a bad deck of cards, but I don't know.
