Review on 🐱 Optimized Pet Nutrition: VetOne Advita Powder Probiotic Supplement for Cats by Dawn Clark

Advita vs. Fortiflora

I was thrilled to finally find a probiotic that my cat with inflammatory bowel disease could actually tolerate. This one is made from dried bird liver, unlike Purina Fortiflora, which is made from Animal Digest (whatever that is). My cat really liked the taste of the Purina brand but kept throwing up. My cat has never thrown up on Advita and loves the taste. She actually eats prescription z/d kibble better when I sprinkle Advita on it. Since taking Advita her stool consistency has improved. If you have a cat with IBD I highly recommend this product! Update April 25, 2016: ATTENTION if you have a diabetic cat! This product contains maltodextrin, which is a carbohydrate and affects blood sugar levels. In humans, maltodextrin can affect blood sugar even more than table sugar. DO NOT use if your cat is diabetic!
