*Update. I bought these sheets almost 2 years ago (April 2012). Now February 3, 2014. Last night I put the sheets back on the bed after washing them and noticed a small tear (about the size of a coin) near the corner seam of the sheet. I tried to put the sheets on quickly before bed and didn't put much effort into it. However, I'm a bit surprised to see that. I wash my sheets once a week, I only have one set so I use them all the time. I still love bed sheets so much I'll probably get another set. Although I expected them to last longer. -------- ------------- I just received these sheets and put them on the bed for the first time last night. First, they are incredibly soft. It's hard to describe, it just can't be compared to cotton. It's a different feeling. Even my husband commented several times how soft and beautiful the sheets are. It is a light color and certainly not white, but its color is difficult to describe. Light, light grey/beige? I'm not sure if that's correct either. light sand? Perhaps it best describes a very light "linen linen". Regardless, it's beautiful. I love it. It's just not quite real ivory. The only potential downside I see at the moment is that I washed them once right out of the box as instructed and they seem quite prone to wrinkling. Straight out of the dryer, one of the pillowcases was deeply wrinkled (maybe it got caught in one of the sheets when it tumbled). These are definitely the sheets to put on the bed right after you turn off the dryer, otherwise the creases will bunch up. Also, they felt a bit thinner than the sateen cotton sheets I had on my old bed. Got a CA king because I bought a new mattress and it fits great. So far (after one night) I love them!
