Well, if without banter, gentlemen commentators, why did you cling to the length of the cable? For a mobile device, this is the ideal length, not short and not long, but if you are not satisfied with the standard cable, then what is the problem in buying another one, the length that you like. I have been using external hard drives for a long time, I bought the first one for spare parts, then there were no ready-made solutions on sale, only boxes appeared, so I assembled it, and so the first one bought separately (box, 2.5 "HDD, cable) had a long cable, the rest of the drives were ready-made solutions from different manufacturers and their cables are about the same plus or minus 5 cm.
- The first thing I liked was the write speed, I connected it to a USB 3.0 port (I donβt have any others) and decided to free up the internal SSD drive of my PC, copied 42 GB of all sorts of rubbish, and at the same time the average write speed was 93 MB / s. at the peak it was 139 MB / s. From an old external hard drive, everything is READING at an average speed of 32 MB / s, and WRITING to this one is 3 times faster. Well, it's compact enough, which is nice.
- The cable is too long, the net length of the wire is as much as 38 cm, it doesnβt fit in my head, the old hard drive, also Seagate, by the way, had 35 cm and it was just right, but here 38 is terrible, just terrible.
