These guys really stick with it! I cleaned the (smooth) tile with tile cleaner, then rubbed the area with alcohol and let it dry. I stumbled across a few of them by accident and they got stuck. One of the hooks (which are also suction cups) was raised instead of lowered and was still stuck. The instructions were mostly pictures as far as I remember, but it involved a smooth, clean and dry surface, remove the cover from the backing, place on the wall and hold, lower the hooks/latches and voila. I've used them for flat and regular razors and washcloths - the razor holder is really great. I hung the nail brush on one of the curved parts of the large holders. Wet rags are good. Nobody came off the wall. They have been in the same place for several months now, no problems. It's worth getting!
