Great for adding multiple individual (JBOD) SSDs I installed this on an ASUS TUF H370-Pro Gaming MOBO. I had to search a lot to find the right order to build the firmware on IT with a newer firmware version. Apparently the DOS boot doesn't work with some Intel configurations. Various directions offered by default did not work. However, the Freenas forums gave me everything I needed. Sorry, but the instructions require URLs and Revain doesn't allow that. Performance is almost the same as my MOBO SATA III ports for the same drives. And now I can expand my system to 8 drives. The key that worked for me over everything else was setting up a USB drive with two directories in a freshly formatted FAT32 filesystem, a 32MB partition, /boot/efi and /efi/boot with both forms of the names Bootx64.efi and Shellx64. efi of the downloaded Shell_Full.efi file. (Rename Shell_Full.efi to both and copy to both subdirectories). Continue with the rest of the instructions. Search the FreeNas forums for "How To: LSI 9211-8i Flash Using EFI Shell" by boris_d, you will find his post a little further down the search screen. Date February 26, 2017
