This product comes in high quality and durable packaging. USPS delivered on time! No defects or damage were found on the TA-C18 hood. The build quality was impressive - thick brushed stainless steel. Shape and fit are great. There was enough light. The suction power at 3rd speed was pretty impressive considering the noise was tolerable compared to our OTR GE microwave. I connected the unit through the rear vent directly through the drywall, insulation, and siding. The vent is rectangular and measures 13.25" x 3.25" and tapers to 10" x 3.25" at the rear. It comes with an attached damper, which is a nice touch. ☺️ The installation had to be planned because our existing OTR vents did not match the vent size and reach location. Installation was easy with a self-made template. The screws provided were sufficient to hold the area up with our existing cabinet base. To install the hood I used a Fastcap socket. So it was one person who set up the jack. In general I am very satisfied with the purchase made. So far, so good. I would highly recommend purchasing this Asian/Indian cooker hood. Thank you!
