All I wanted was an external SSD to connect to a Win7 PC with drive utilities - no backup/cloud/security/or unwanted apps and trial software etc. If you want me, then don't install WD Discovery software - it breaks through your firewall, installs scheduled tasks to update itself - tries to install malware. So after uninstalling the correct programs and exiting the Drive Utilities (which can be downloaded from WD.com without the Discovery software), I'm disappointed with the Drive Utilities as well. They don't apply to SSD drives, but at least the drive is exFAT formatted. Maybe I'm spoiled by SAMSUNG SSD utilities. WD when you watch - Give us a choice of what to download when you start your Discovery software. And just tell us what privacy we give up to use it. (I should only think of utilities - no personal content should be taken from users.)
