Wildly Inaccurate and Unsafe
These probes are not safe to use. I was cooking chicken, and saw that the probes were reading 180. I thought I’d overcooked my food, but when I opened my pit boss, the chicken still looked raw. So I went and grabbed my thermopro. Sure enough the chicken was in the 130s. I’ve posted a picture I just took showing that there is a considerable discrepancy. The whole point of using thermometers is to make sure you’re hitting certain temps, and these cannot be trusted.
