The original brush had twice the bristles and was made of soft horsehair. This cheap brush has a thin ring of synthetic bristles. There are so few bristles that they fold at the slightest pressure and the inner plastic body comes into contact with the items to be cleaned. Not suitable for cleaning delicate items. Miele was once a respected German company but like many others have moved production to China and that's what you get - cheap chinese junk! I sent it back and invested the money in a new vacuum cleaner, certainly not a Miele.
